Are losses to Navy and Pitt finally enough?
Notre Dame has been playing with fire all season.
They started by demolishing Nevada. Great, who cares.
Game 2: Loss to Michigan. They are 5-6
Game 3: Barely beat Michigan State (6-5) with comeback win
Game 4: Barely beat Purdue (4-7) with comeback win
Game 5: Need Overtime to Beat Washington (3-7)
Game 6 Loss to USC respectable - although this is USCs worst season in the Pete Carroll era. (7-3)
Game 7: Beat Boston College (7-3) HEY FINALLY A QUALITY WIN!!
Game 8: Beat Washington State (1-9) - but hey, it was a convincing win at least
Game 9: LOSS TO NAVY!!!!!!!
Game 10: Loss to Pitt! Pitt may actually be the best team on Notre Dame's schedule this year. Either them, or Stanford possibly later on.

Tyrone Willingham: The SCOURGE of Notre Dame football!!! .583 winning percentage (21-15)
Charlie Weis: The SAVIOUR of Notre Dame football!!! .583 winning percentage (35-25)
"We will win once we get the top players to ND!"
2005-2009 recruiting rankings according to rivals: 40th, 8th, 8th, 2nd, 21st
So aside from Redshirt seniors, all the talent is there
If you come to a program as some sort of offensive genius, you wouldn't give up play calling duties. Weiss did just that in the 2008 season for a period of time.
Let's face it, he is a terrible football coach. Now I hate Notre Dame, so I hope he stays there and continues to suck!
But for the good of college football, things are more interesting when Notre Dame is good. People care when Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, USC, and Florida are all good.
But just who should replace him?

Jon Gruden
Gruden just re-upped with Monday Night Football. You said Urban Meyer, Guru, and I agree - guy's always looking to pad his resume and this would be his ultimate thing.
