Wednesday Night Recap: Hawaii @ LA Tech

Heading into last night, the Hawaii Warriors had scored at least one touchdown in 62 straight games.  Starting today, that streak no longer exists.  The Bulldogs were dominant all night with their 27-6 victory.

Hawaii actually got on the board first with a 36 yard field goal in the first quarter, but LA Tech running back Daniel Porter scored the first of his two rushing touchdowns to put the Dogs on top 7-3.  After a second quarter LA Tech field goal, Hawaii answered with another FG of their own with just 8 seconds left in the half to cut the deficit to four.

It was all Bullogs on the second half with another Porter TD, a Myke Compton TD, and a final Matt Nelson FG for good measure in the 4th quarter.

Hawaii quarterback Greg Alexander was sacked five times and threw two interceptions on the night.  Alexander had to be replaced late by sophomore Bryant Moniz who didn't throw any picks, but was just 5-for-11 passing.

I didn't personally watch the game so I don't have much to add myself other than the fact that I was very wrong in my prognostication of this one.
